I'm can sew pretty well, but what I think is different from me and the old school ladies that sew is that I'm for the most part self-taught whereas the older generation took a sewing class. I've thought about sewing and selling on ETSY, but haven't really gotten around to it.

I have an ear for music, I come from a family of musicians and dancers. I played the violin throughout my childhood and in college. I was supposed to continue studying after college then audition for various symphonies, but I got married and had to get a real job. I don't ever regret my choice to get married.

I bake better than I cook. I Tiffany Jewellery UK   think because baking is so precise, and cooking you can just throw stuff together. Idk, really. My baked goods come out better than my cooking (and my cooking isn't bad).

My best and most useful wierd talent is the ability to accurately understand what people are trying to say (especially if they don't speak english very well), and translate it for others such that they all come away with the same understanding. It's unbelievable the way that people use the same words to mean different things, and as such they come away from a conversation believing they agree, but really they are talking about two different things. I'm awesome at spotting these kinds of disconnects and reconnecting them.

I also have a talent for recovery - I can push myself right to the edge and catch myself right before I fall most times. Lots of times I'm on my bike and seemingly headed for disaster and I manage to turn it into something that's not pretty, but not a disaster.

I play violin, flute, oboe and piano. Like LC, played violin forever, from when I was 4 on up. Piano, flute and then oboe followed. Was going to college with violin, but I put it off and got married.

mr wico plays drums. I use to hang out and watch/listen to him back in the day. Music is a large part of our lives.

There are other things I enjoy, and am good at, but I don't know that I would describe them as 'talents' necessarily.

I had the whole private lessons deal. I actually started at age 9, but I had a real knack for it. My mom could not Tiffany Necklaces  afford lessons at that time. When I got in to 7th grade, I went to a private school via scholarship and the scholarship paid for my private lessons. In college, I was able to count private lessons as a partial credit.

I've danced hula since I was 3 years old, performing as early as age 4. My degree is in Performing Arts with an emphasis on Music, but since I got married, I did not follow through with a career in the arts. It's all good, though. Meeting and marrying the right person was worth it.
